Head Coach
3rd Season

Head Coach Tim Cook enters his third season at SDCC.

Cook brings 17 years of playing/coaching experience into SDCC along with fresh knowledge of GSAC coaching from seven seasons ('03-'10) of assisting at GSAC power, California Baptist University. At CBU, Cook helped build a top caliber NAIA program, where the Lancers were a No. 1 NAIA Division I ranked team in 2008-09 and were ranked in the top twenty in America five out of the seven seasons he was on staff. He was also a part of the 2009 win over NCAA Division I Pepperdine University and had a hand in bringing three All-American's to the Lancer's squad, one of which was GSAC Player of the Year in 2007-08.

Prior to CBU, Cook was a key component to turning an 0-31 program (2000) at Cascade College ('01-'03) in Portland, Oregon, into a 28-6 team who made a NAIA DII Sweet 16 appearance at the NAIA National Tournament in 2002. From 1996-2001, he was both a head and assistant coach at high schools in the Vancouver, Washington and Salem, Oregon. He led elite high school teams, such as Prairie HS who qualified for the Washington State Final Four in 2001 and focused on the individual growth of the players under him.

At SDCC, Cook looks forward to helping rebuild a nationally competitive program and working to change perception and the mentality of SDCC basketball. Most importantly, however, is Cook's desire to develop men who seek the Lord.
