With the loss, the Hawks fall to 7-10 and 3-5 in GSAC play. The Warriors improve to 15-7 and 4-4 in conference.
In the first half, it took 11 minutes before the Hawks grabbed their first lead of the game as Dickerson hit one of his 4 3-pointers of the game. That was the only lead the Hawks held in the game.
Jhoan Camacho hit a jumper to get the score within two, 25-23 but the Warriors went on a 11-3 run.
The Warriors would lead the half 36-26.
In the second half, Westmont held a double-digit lead for most of the half until English hit a 3-pointer to get the score within eight with 6:16 remaining. Another 3-pointer by the Hawks, this one by Kwaminique Brandon cut the deficit to eight points but the Warriors finished strong to win by 12.
Christopher Miller scored a game-high 21 points.
Westmont grabbed 18 offensive rebounds, 50 in total to dominate the glass. The Hawks tallied only 21.
SDC shot 41.4 percent from the field and 9-of-21 from 3-point land. Westmont shot 44.8 percent but only 28.6 percent from beyond the arc. Each team recorded three blocked shots.
The Hawks are back in action Tuesday as they host Biola University tipping of at 7:30 p.m.
